Anthony MacMahon’s The Frenzy of Queen Maeve was featured in Saskatchewan’s Spring Festival of New Plays, the SummerWorks Festival 2012 in Toronto, and was awarded the Ottawa Little Theatre Outstanding New Play Award. Now, it’s bringing Saskatoon talent to the Ottawa Fringe.

THE FRENZY OF QUEEN MAEVE (Bzzt! Trap Door Theatre)
Set in Northern Ireland in the 1970s, during “The Troubles”, The Frenzy of Queen Maeve tells the story of Aisling, a young Irish woman who falls in love with two very different men. Neither Fionn, an IRA operative, nor William, the wealthy son of an English landowner, are aware of the other and Aisling must decide what is more important: her country or her safety.
This show is written by the Saskatchewan-based Anthony MacMahon and directed by Josh Ramsden. Performers include Nathan Howe (who is also in Matchstick), Jackie Block and Chris Hapke.
