Phoenix Players presents Murder at the Howard Johnson’s

A fast-paced show filled with farcical elements and 1970s clichés, Murder at the Howard Johnson’s is written by Sam Bobrick, who also wrote Getting Sara Married (due to be performed by Lakeside Players this May).

Murder-at-the-Howard-JohnsonsR1-250x300An hilarious romp about murderous intent, determination and ineptitude.

A three-scene love triangle involving a woman, her lover, and her husband takes place in a Howard Johnson Motor Inn. In the first scene the wife and her lover plot to murder the husband. In the second scene the wife and her husband are plotting to murder the lover. The third scene has the husband and the lover plotting to murder the wife – but this attempt, like the others, fails.

Written by Ron Clark and Sam Bobrick, and directed by Tim Picotte, the show stars Michael Schilder, Sasha Gilchrist and Dan Desmarais.  The show runs from April 5-6 & 9-13 at 8:00 pm, and April 7 at 3:00 pm at the Gladstone Theatre (910 Gladstone).  Tickets are $18 (seniors and students $15) and are available through The Gladstone box office, by phone at 613.233.4523 or online.
