The Great Canadian Theatre Company presents Like WolvesSam and Vera are celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary. Sam has surprised Vera by bringing her back to the spot of their rural honeymoon.  Now it’s a high-rise surrounded by parking lots and software buildings.  Vera is shocked to discover that the once charming bed and breakfast has transformed into the last place on earth she wants to be. When Sam has an unexpected heart attack, Vera finds herself hopelessly stuck. A strange visitor and the arrival of her two less than helpful daughters leave her re-evaluating her life and family. Like Wolves is a riveting black comedy about marriage, dreams, and choices in these modern times.

Like Wolves is a world premiere written by Rosa Laborde and directed by Peter Pasyk. It stars Nancy Beatty, Matthew Edison, Peter Froehlich, John Koensgen, Kimwun Perehinec, and Alix Sideris.

The show runs from June 4th to 23rd at the Great Canadian Theatre’s Irving Greenberg Theatre. Tickets for the show are $45, with discounts for seniors and students. They can be purchased online at the GCTC website, by calling 613.236.5196, or in person at the box office at 1233 Wellington Street West.
