Ottawa Little Theatre Presents Noises Off

Ottawa Little Theatre is up to show nine of ten in their ten plays from ten decades to celebrate their 100th season. And for play number nine they’ve pulled out one of the big guns. Noises Off has been called the funniest play ever written. It’s a farce that blends “reality” with performance while it gives a back stage look at a theatre company trying to put on a show.

The New York Times declared it “The funniest play ever written” A theatre group gets entangled in so much action behind-the-scenes, they almost ruin the performance. A frantic and hilarious play featuring sardines, trousers, and back stage antics all performed on a jaw dropping set.

Noises Off is written by Michael Frayn and directed by Richard Elichuk. It features Sarah Hearn, Geoff Gruson, Shaun Toohey, Dana Truelove, Danielle Washam, Josh Sparks, Dianna Renee Yorke, Tim Ginley, and Barry Caiger.

The show runs from July 2nd to July 20th (Tuesday to Saturday) at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $25, with discounts for seniors and students. They can be purchased online at OLT’s website, by calling 613.233.8948, or at the box office at 400 King Edward Avenue.
